The Industrial Information and Control Centre was
established in 2008 as a joint research institute between AUT
University and The University of Auckland. Our focus is to raise the
capability in advanced process simulation and control research in
New Zealand.
Supported by New Zealand's process and manufacturing industries, the
I²C² produces industry relevant world-class research in both
industrial information and control and related human skills
development. It facilitates research links and provides a focus for
postgraduate research, graduate training and continuing education to
enable a more professional work force and assist New Zealand
process/manufacturing industries to become more efficient,
innovative, skilled and productive.
The I²C² laboratory is located in the Department
of Chemical and Materials Engineering at The University of Auckland.
This laboratory has been recently refurbished to include new process
control rigs, instrumentation and associated computing equipment.
